DogBoneArt for Baby Lemon

I was so sad that she didn't have it in my size. But since I have lots of blanks (and blanks I can't use because of flaws) and Laura wanted some Lemon Cadet, we did a trade.

I can't wait to get these in the mail!

Lemon Cadet Sighting...

Check out the Trendy Tots blog. They featured Dolores, one of my very favorite designs as part of their Fresh Finds. I don't have many hot pink onesies left and I haven't been able to find anymore wholesale so she may be discontinued soon. Such sadness.

Trendy Tots is a really amazing blog. They highlight all kinds of cute, indie products. What an honor!

News from the homefront: Mr. Lemon has been hard at work fulfilling my insane nesting desires. He replaced the kitchen countertops with the coolest laminate (if that's what it's even called...). Today he finished fixing all the cracks in my new studio (his old office) and we might even see some paint on the walls by the weekend. When that's all finished, the nursery challenge will begin.

I have pictures of the kitchen to share and a special vegan cheese ball recipe. I expect to have some time next week!

Washington City Paper strikes again!

I was chosen to be the Craftiest Bastard of the Week once again by the Washington City Paper in Washington, D.C. These folks are the fabulous sponsors of the best craft show ever, Crafty Bastards.

I just got an email with the good news.

That's one of my designs up there featuring that amazing numbers print from Alexander Henry.

Happy New Year!

2007 was such a busy year around here, as you can see from the photo (It's a girl!). We've had some major life changes and are really excited about 2008. The past few months have been a whirlwind for us. I've been a little preoccupied... I've been slow with custom orders. I've neglected my poor flickr account. I've disappeared from the Etsy forums (although I have been known to lurk a bit).

I'm taking January off from making new items as it's a good time to regroup. I won't be doing any shows until June or July so I'll have plenty of time to get my stock back up if I start in February. Last year on a trip to NYC, I picked up some amazing fabrics for my new line that will include a new design (hint: he will be very fat, very wide, and some versions will have a tail!). Bede (a.k.a. Pat Pat) has been discontinued. I have a few of him cut out that will make it onto some onesies but you won't see him in the shop after he's gone. It's time to start new things!

I can't imagine things slowing down anytime soon. I'll be teaching a new course at my day job that I am very invested in. It's the first time I've been able to develop an entire syllabus myself, from policies to content. I'm hoping it will add some spark to my other classes.

I've been researching baby products like a madwoman (or merely like a hormonally charged mom-to-be). We bought a crib and I've been designing the nursery. I subscribe to a ton of dangerous baby product blogs and have gotten some great ideas so look for more on that in the coming months. (My favorites are Daddytypes and the Apartment Therapy Nursery Edition.)

Meanwhile, I have tons of new stuff to add to the shop as soon as I get the photos taken so keep an eye out.

Thanks to those of you who bought Lemon Cadet goods. The yeti t-shirts were way more successful than I had ever hoped so look for a new design Summer 2008. I also have a super exciting project with Yeti Loves Seamonster that you'll hear all about shortly.

Once again, Happy New Year!

Pounce!

Etsy has this cool new feature called Pounce. It jumps on shops that have recently sold items and shows you what's left in the shop so you can pounce on it. I sold a ladies yeti tee a while ago and pounced until I found me. Is that kinda like doing a Google search for yourself?

Yay! Front page Etsy . . .

Sometime in the middle of the night, this treasury list that I didn't even know I was in, got picked for the front page. It's really beautiful with two of my favorite colors. It's so nice when you get a little surprise like that.

XL yeti tee anyone?

I promise to report on the Bust Craftacular as soon as I get the pics off the camera. We got home late last evening and it was enough to get the items back in the shop before crashing out early.

Just a quick announcement: If you are the guy from the Bust Craftacular who later in the day wanted an XL yeti tee after I had sold out, please email me. I had one at home and I'm saving it for you.

Lesson learned: get an email address next time!
